The genesis of the Aberdeen Padel Club lies in a contentious court-mandated separation from the Gentleman Players of Rubislaw sports organisation. Amidst disputes and disagreements, the founders emerged from the turmoil with a steadfast determination to establish a new and distinct padel club. Driven by a shared vision, they transformed adversity into opportunity, laying the foundation for a vibrant and independent sports haven that would later become a focal point for padel enthusiasts across Aberdeen. This transformational split marked the birth of a new era, where the club's values and aspirations took centre stage, leaving behind the shadows of past conflicts and setting the stage for a future filled with camaraderie, growth, and success.
The Club takes pride in drawing its membership primarily from elite North East powerhouse institutions, Mile-End, Ashley Road and Skene Square. These schools are known for nurturing talent, fostering discipline, and instilling a strong sense of sportsmanship in their students. By bringing together members from these esteemed institutions, the club not only creates a hub for padel enthusiasts but also forms a network of hardened players who share a passion for excellence, both on and off the court.
Our vision is to create a community where like-minded individuals come together to compete, forge meaningful connections, and foster a sense of camaraderie. As the club's reputation grows, it has attracted a diverse range of players, from Bajan Semi-Pros looking to sharpen their skills against elite local players, to curious beginners eager to learn.
The club's motto serves as a powerful reminder of the values and aspirations that drive the Aberdeen Padel Club. Dedication, determination, and hard work. It symbolises the challenges faced on and off the court and the rewards reaped afterwards through perseverance and commitment.
Looking to the future, the Club aims to continue expanding our offerings due its belief of the transformative power of sport. Regular tournaments, coaching sessions, and social events foster a sense of community among members. With each new member, the club's energy and passion for the sport grows stronger.
Aberdeen Padel Club has established reciprocal rights with both the Clapham Putt-Putt & Padel Club as well as the Honourable Company of Leith Padelmen. Members can now enjoy privileges and playing access at these affiliated clubs, including cross-club competitions. These reciprocal relationships extend the clubs reach, help foster connections beyond geography and help socially deprived areas see the opportunities available in the world of competitive sport.
As of 1st September 2023 the club's operations committee has agreed the following schedule:
Pro Lessons (£100ph): Mon (1pm - 1.30p), Fri (6.45am - 7am)
Semi-Pro Lessons (min.wage): 24/7
Elite Club Competition: Tue (9pm - 10pm)
Beginner classes: Mon (8am - 11.58am), Wed (2.18pm - 3.46pm), Sun (3.47pm - close)

Due to the competitive nature of the club, all members use the LTA Padel Rating System. Players ranked higher than 5.5 will receive first refusal on 'A' Division prime playing times (Tuesday evenings) whilst low skilled, inept or new players within 'C' Division should confine themselves to off-peak times.
Sadly, Aberdeen Padel Club has reached its current capacity, and as a result, no new memberships are being offered at this time. We understand that this may be disappointing for those seeking to join. However, we remain committed to maintaining the quality of our overall experience and ensuring that our current members continue to enjoy the exceptional benefits and privileges that come through acceptance to the club.
Once admitted to the club, annual fees run on a calendar year basis. A copy of the fees is available within the clubhouse (upon request) and a VAT rated invoice will be forwarded to members accountants yearly.
Please note that due to the long waiting list of new members, medical sabbaticals from fees are no longer available.
Whilst no new memberships are available at this time, we encourage well kent individuals to express their interest in joining, as opportunities may become available for suitable applicants in the future. In the meantime, we invite everyone to stay connected with our club through various events and public activities that may be accessible to the general public through social outreach programmes such as the clubs award winning 'Beano' initiative.
